This week we’ve started learning our teen numbers. We’ve learnt a new number each day and played lots of different games and activities to represent the number in different ways.

Today we played place value basketball, we started off with the game on topmarks (https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/place-value-basketball) where we learnt that the 1 at the start of the teen number is actually a 10 in disguise! We practised counting in tens and ones and selecting the correct number and shooting into the hoop.

We then worked in groups outside with different representations of teen numbers – if we could select the right numeral to match it, we then scored a hoop!
