Well done to all our Rotary Art Winners!
Class 3 have travelled back in time with the The Royal Albert Memorial Museum to 49AD! We turned the classroom into a Celtic round house complete with artifacts and got the children in role as the native Devonian Dumnonii tribe. After a break we had a dramatic entrance from a Roman soldier who took us into the hall, which had [...]
Class 3 have worked so hard on their plays today for our project with actors Louise and Nigel through Beaford arts. The children learnt about, scripts, props and stage management, with plenty of acting tips! The children all designed their own plays and made their own props which they then performed to the rest of the school.
We had a fantastic day with The National Trust! First we had a trail around the Warren to answer facts about WWII. We also had an assault course across the beach, navigating our way through a minefield with ear defenders and a stick (realistic mines buried below!), commando rolling under nets and a mock grenade practice on trenches. We heard [...]
Class 3 look set to be the next generation of Davis Cup Winners if today was anything to go by! They really performed well at the Tarka Tennis Centre and had great fun, especially in the beat the teacher competition where they well and truly beat me (one team scoring 20 - Love)
Class 3 travelled back in time to the 1940s with a workshop led by Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum or RAMM. The children took part in a Morse code workshop as well as learning about all aspects of the Homefront through artefacts and drama. They all looked the part in their WWII costumes so well done to everyone and we [...]
We were all really proud of Class 3 yesterday as the Space Centre commented on how fantastically behaved the class were, as well as asking some brilliant questions. They were also really impressed with the project work displayed around the room. The children had a great day learning about Space and particularly Space exploration before making and launching [...]
Class 3 designed and launched their own rockets as part of their Space Topic. They went incredibly high with 2 landing on playgroup's roof, 6 in the wheatfield and one in an oak tree! [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
Everyone did so well with their fantastic pictures celebrating Queen Elizabeth's 90th Birthday for the Braunton Rotary Club. Here are the winners!
Class 3 had a fantastic day on Croyde Beach at a Volleyball Festival. Luckily, the rain held off and we had a great time getting to know some of the other schools as well as being supported by the Braunton Academy students. 2 of our girls won their league and one of our pupils also won the "Spirit of the [...]
