When Jules Swanne suggested that Croyde Surf Academy co-ordinated a whole school beach day, it seemed like a tall order. Now, 6 months on, we have just spent the most fantastic day on the Croyde beach taking part surfing, surf lifesaving with Croyde Surf Lifesaving Club, volleyball with Denise Austin, coasteering with Ben Kennedy, beach cleaning and foraging with the Gourmet Forager.
A massive thank you to all of the experts that made today so amazing. Also, a big thanks to parent helpers, the Hare family at Down End Drop In for the free parking, ice lollies and the very welcome supply of coffee for the adults…and of course to the children for making it such an enjoyable day to be a part of. 🙂
When I asked the children to give me ideas to write on the blog, words like; brilliant, wicked, epic, fun and unforgettable featured very heavily. One of class 4 asked if we could do this every Friday….what do you think Croyde Surf Academy…same again next Friday?! ;-)…maybe not……but let’s hope we get to do it again next year. 🙂
Sounds good to me 🙂 Thanks for helping out with Surf Life Saving Ali 🙂
Amazing day. Both Cresswell boys had such good fun 🙂 Croyde beach day should definitely be an annual event just like the bike ride x
It was a pleasure to help and I’m so proud of all the children who behaved and coped brilliantly all day in challenging conditions.
It’s great isn’t it…the children were having such a great time that they didn’t let the rain showers get in the way 🙂
some great picts of an amazing day
