Pen Recycling…

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

Our little Pringle tube is full of pens at home, so I'm bringing them in to school. We've a huge Terracycle recycling box in the school hall if you'd like to bring in pens, cartridges, highlighters etc., even Tippex and Pritt sticks. Just pass them over to your child, they'll know where to put them. Which reminds me, we need [...]

A report from Kitty... "Myah has been really nice to me and she made me feel really good." We learn about PSHE, and we do activities about things such as kindness, today. Our Family Groups have all different ages of kids in them, they're really happy, and everyone comes together to talk about different things and we help each other. [...]

After our first full week last week, we are very happy to be back into the full swing of things. Last week our topic was 'Our Favourite Stories' and we have very much enjoyed reading lots [...]

Class 3 make a friend-literally!

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

Today was my first Friday morning with class 3 and we thought about the attributes of a good friend. Everyone 'made' a person with playdough, gave him/her a name, described them and finally introduced their friend to the class. Lots of fun and some great conversations. I shall be teaching class 3 every Friday morning, I'm looking forward to starting [...]

Welcome back Class 4!

2019-09-06T17:00:54+01:00

We have had a lovely first week getting to know each other in Class 4. We have discussed and agreed our school rights and responsibilities, how we can go 'above and beyond' not just in our work but showing kindness to each other, produced painted self portraits and have worked together to solve challenges. The new year 6s have shown [...]

Stepping Stones – Weekly Topics

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

We have had a great first day back at Stepping Stones today. It's been very chilled out, allowing the children to settle back in smoothly. The atmosphere has been really lovely. At Stepping Stones we follow a termly theme, very similar to in reception. What we do is break the terms down into weekly topics which are related to the [...]

Whole School Bike ride… (The 10th?)

2019-07-23T16:58:59+01:00

Another year... Another hot day! Off the top of my head, we have the Bideford 30 mile route, the Instow 24 for an ice cream, the Fremington 18 for a cream tea, the Rock Park 12 for a play and school's bike themed day too! We haven't calculated properly, but we think we've been doing this for 10 years now. [...]
