Well done girls for playing some excellent netball!  Lost one, won three!  You were great!  Thanks also to the very supportive spectators - I think we all enjoyed ourselves! A great way to end the week...............and we didn't get wet!

Knit one, purl one!

2014-01-12T12:49:11+00:00

Would any children in Class 4 be interested in learning how to knit?  Or perhaps you can already knit and could help pass your skills on to a friend?  With Mr T's permission, I thought about doing a lunchtime knitting club - say on a Tuesday from 12.45 to 1.15. A scarf is always a popular first project, but how [...]

Science club

2014-01-10T20:00:15+00:00

We had our first science club this afternoon for classes 1 and 2! Magnets, string telephones, electrical circuits, picking up breakfast cereal with a balloon using static electricity (“a bit like a soft magnet ”-Annie), chemical reactions and more! We even managed to find out that an apple can power a clock better than a courgette can! What a busy [...]

Thought you might all like to know that you sold 52 copies of your first School Magazine. That's £78 for the respective charities. Well done. Mrs Herbert

Mrs Herbert’s update!

2022-08-18T13:27:32+01:00

I have had such fun this afternoon looking through the messages on this blog! Holly and Mr T seem to have spent most of the Christmas holidays on their laptops!! Did you solve the Kenning, Holly? I am a bit confused by it. Staff are all back at school today and busy with first aid training – bandaging each other [...]

Look who made an appearance today!

Finally, he makes it to the shredded green tissue paper on the cabinet outside Mr Thomas' room. Merry Christmas everyone! . . . . . .

School alarm!

2022-08-18T13:27:32+01:00

Sit still long enough and you can see that an old school, dated 1868, does indeed have draughts. A little annoying (but probably not as much as it was for our neighbours) that the school alarm goes off at 7am on Christmas Eve! Because of the annoying regularity of the alarm being triggered, we've spent money on new [...]

Holly’s mistake!

2013-12-20T12:35:39+00:00

Bless... she's just trying to make the Nativity scene look nice, and then she goes ahead and pulls the donkey's head off. I know! I've resisted the temptation to glue it back on however since we've discovered that we can now tilt / turn his head to look in different directions. He's currently looking at Joseph saying, "Mary's heavy, are [...]
