2015-09-16T21:54:38+01:00

Class 4 had a great day at Arlington Court today, finding out what it would be like to have worked there during the Victorian period. The children applied for positions in the kitchen, garden or household staff and were put through their paces by the housekeeper who was looking to employ young trainees to prepare for the return of the [...]

2022-08-18T13:27:23+01:00

In one of the blog post this week Mr Thomas wrote about our SEAL topic 'New Beginnings'. As it was my first Friday with class 4 we decided to think about how we can work well together in our new beginning as the NEW class 4. So.... the children had to work together in teams to build a tower using just straws and masking [...]

2022-08-18T13:27:24+01:00

Yesterday class 4 proved they had talent by the bucket load as they took part in our end of term talent show. Hosted by Sam and James (definitely the Ant and Dec of Georgeham School) and judged by our very own pannel of experts, the afternoon saw some talented singers, musicians, dancers and gymnasts all show off their skills. Quite [...]

Science at Braunton Academy

2015-07-11T09:10:12+01:00

On Friday afternoon Class 4 went to Braunton Academy for a workshop to investigate the 'Science of Colour and Light'.  Everyone lit a Bunsen burner and investigated the various colour of flames that different chemicals produce. A great afternoon...one child claimed that "it was the best fun ever" and he could "happily do this all day" :-)

So..how does your heart work?

2022-08-18T13:27:24+01:00

Over the last few weeks class 4 have been learning all about the heart in science. We used a stethoscope to listen to our heartbeat and made our own using everyday items like tubing (we decided that a doctor needs a real stethoscope and not a piece of tubing :-) ) After we learned the key information, the class had [...]
