Year 4 and 5 represented Georgeham School in a predominantly Year 6 competition of Volley Sport - slightly different rules to that of Volleyball. Georgeham's base for the day Denise giving instructions for the day.  A brilliant day, if not slightly too hot, for the Primary School VolleySport Competition. We had some younger children with us but I [...]

Ahoy there!

2022-08-18T13:27:28+01:00

In class 3  all of our learning has been based around the theme of 'PIRATES' today. We have made pirate hats (which some children have managed to wear all day), written pirate limericks and created treasure maps to help us to learn about co-ordinates. Here is a flavour of what we've been up to today.....   We had [...]

Monday in Class 3…

2014-05-19T10:11:35+01:00

In assembly, we remembered how to show someone we were proud of them or that they had done well by smiling, clapping, patting them on the back or cheering.  Lottie even said it made her feel proud of them. In spellings... "There's a monster behind you!" = "THERE IS a monster behind you..." (We're looking at the apostrophe that's used [...]

2014-05-12T22:07:03+01:00

What did you do this morning? "We packed and brought our bags in to school." "We did maths in school whilst Class 4 did SATs, for an hour and a half..."  Really?  "Yes, I don't like maths." And after maths?  "We got into a line and walked to St. George's House." "We played on the basket swing and stuff here. [...]

Pen Licences…

2014-05-08T09:47:05+01:00

I've just been asked by some of the girls in Class 3 if they could apply for the pen licences. Ooh, that'll put some pressure on class 4 if they're successful! However one of them also said that a pen licence would force them to be neat with their handwriting... (?) I like this cart-before-the-horse thinking - it shows a [...]
