Essex Dance…

2014-07-07T14:57:56+01:00

Kingsacre, Southmead and Georgeham, nearly 200 children, attended the Essex Dance group's show.  They did many dances at the start (a lot of jazz-like numbers) and Barry showed us a very moving dance that he choreographed himself. We then split into groups of 8 or so and were helped by the dancers to learn the chorus.  Barry lead [...]

A Journey into Space!

2014-03-20T15:49:54+00:00

Today was a very exciting day at school. Simon set up his fantastic Space Odyssey Dome in Georgeham Chapel and the whole school went on their very own Space mission during the day. We found out what it would like to be an astronaut and we decided that eating, drinking and even going to the toilet would be very tricky [...]

Over the last few weeks we have been learning all about how to keep safe on the internet and in 'cyber-space'! We have had lots of adventures with Hector and Lee & Kim. This morning Class 2 acted out their own version of the E-Safety story and the three versions are attached for you to see how great we are [...]

Could we trust our Leader?

2022-08-18T13:27:29+01:00

As part of our RE on Teachers and Leaders, we set-up an assault course on the MUGA. With our partner, (one of us was blindfolded), we had to lead one another through the assault course with only verbal instructions. It was good fun but also made us realise how difficult it was without sight and only relying on our friend to [...]

It’s ‘Flipping’ Shrove Tuesday!!

2022-08-18T13:27:29+01:00

Great fun was had by all at what has now become the annual Shrove Tuesday tradition at Georgeham School, our Pancake Race! We took turns, in our Family Groups, to run against each other with what should have been a minimum of 4 'flips' of the pancake before reaching the finishing line. We had some sprints that Usain Bolt would have been proud [...]

Building excitement outside Class 2

2022-08-18T13:27:29+01:00

Tim Capel-Creasey is back at Georgeham after building our lovely gazebo, to make a cover for the area outside Class 2. Building has only just started, with many funny noises coming through our wall this afternoon, but we can't wait to see how it progresses each day. We took these first photos as 'before' and we are sure it won't [...]

Classes 1 & 2 had a great start back at school after the half-term, we spent the morning in Braunton. After meeting at the Police Station and trying out various Police attire, handcuffs and batons (under close supervision of course), we then had a turn at sitting in a Police van inside the 'cage'! We were on the trail of [...]
