2015-02-06T12:18:39+00:00

As our treat for filling up our marble jar for good work and behaviour, we had an exciting time icing and decorating our own biscuits. We watched how the powdered icing sugar 'changed its state' into :- Kitty - "it's slobbery now, not dry"; Thea " it's thinnier and stickier than before"! Martha "it's much runnier than before"! Lucy "we [...]

2015-01-12T12:33:13+00:00

As part of our topic on the Three Little Pigs, we did our best 'huffing and puffing' for a morning of Science. We had three pots of piggy pink paint: 1. Had flour added to it 2. Just ready-mix paint 3. Watered down paint. The children had to predict which paint could be 'huffed and puffed' the furthest through a [...]

The countdown to Mrs Mortimer's final day has begun with a fantastic surprise of a beautiful, gluten-free celebration cake. All the children (and adults) enjoyed a slice after our lunch. She has also received a handmade ring from someone in Class 4. No doubt it [...]

Barnstaple

2014-09-30T16:41:35+01:00

Classes 1 and 2 had a busy day in Barnstaple, thinking about how it is different to Georgeham. We went to the train station first, before doing a tour of a large supermarket! Next we strolled around to Rock Park, enjoying the views of the river, before testing out the well-equipped play area. After lunch we looked at the War [...]
