Class 2’s poems…

2019-10-14T20:49:47+01:00

Class 2 looked at alliteration and rhyme this morning and tried our own poems, similar to Emma Dodd's 'I Like Bugs' - like this example, that's just brilliant! I love scary, snappy, shiny-red bugs and weepy, watery, crawly bugs. Here are a few others... I love birds.... I love screechy, tweety, loud birds. I love quiet, shy, white birds. I [...]

A blog written by George, the shrimp…

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

Hi, I'm George and I'm a shrimp. I had a brilliant time today apart from a short amount of time in a blue bucket. As from yesterday, I always thought plastic was in the sea and always had been, but I learnt something amazing today after wearing a VR Headset.  (Don't ask how the headset was made or who made [...]

You may or may not know that Mr Thomas, Miss Summerville and Miss Smale are in a choir for staff in all walks of educational positions, called Teachers Rock®.  It's a choir that meets every month or so, and performs every now and then around the South West.  We have an exciting project taking place at Exeter Cathedral on the [...]

Explosion of activity…

2019-10-09T05:32:52+01:00

It's lovely to return from a tiring and long conference to a school looking so beautiful! We've some excellent artwork and fictional writing from our current year 5s on their Pompeii and Vesuvius work... A lovely display of harvest produce, with coins sellotaped on top too, ready to take to church later at 2.30 if you'd like to join us, [...]

The flat packers worked flat-out…

2019-10-02T20:47:59+01:00

Thank you and a huge well done to 'FROGS' Ted & 'Governor' David for their time today. Our open library space is now looking very plush and we've some lovely looking cubby holes to put our children's art work in to, as well as our books and some frustrated heads too. Our slow & steady improvement schedule has focused on [...]

Cross Country Running…

2019-09-29T18:31:03+01:00

Georgeham’s Intrepid X Country Runners Kick Off the Gliddon and Squire 2019/20 Season in Style... Georgeham’s x country runners hit the ground running (literally - there was quite a lot of slipping and sliding taking place) at a very wet, windy and muddy Kingsley School, host of the first event in the 2019/20 X Country League. Hundreds of children from [...]

Just like tennis club this morning, the rain brought the club inside. This week's multi-skills had lots of activities, and fortunately there wasn't anything broken... unlike this morning! 😳😂 Thanks Tamsin... Some very excited children absolutely having a ball and thoroughly enjoying themselves! Thanks!

Interested in the Gliddon and Squire Cross Country League…?

2019-09-24T17:00:22+01:00

Last year we entered the Gliddon and Squire X Country League for the first time.  Children in years 3-6 took part and loved the experience of running around in the mud for their school!  We'd love to enter this year.  There are 7 events across the Autumn and Winter and you can enter as many as you like.  The emphasis [...]
