Selecting a School for Your Child…
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the biggest decisions you will make. Our website contains a wealth of information about Georgeham School which we hope will help give you a good understanding of how we work and the experience your child will have. However, we would encourage you to visit the school before you make any choices about application so you can experience yourself how lovely it is here.
You can arrange a visit through our School Office and we will be happy to show you around the school and answer any questions you might have. You can also read our most recent Inspection reports from Ofsted and the Diocese of Exeter, as well as review performance data from the Department of Education, on our Inspections and Performance page.
Stepping Stones Pre-School
Stepping Stones Preschool operates from a classroom nestled between Class 1 and Class 2 and is open to preschoolers from the age of 2 years and upwards.
It is part of the school and managed by the governing body of the school.
Stepping Stones provides a nurturing and welcoming environment in which all children can play, learn and thrive. The preschool team work with the early years team at the school and children can enjoy time in the dedicated EYFS outdoor space and in the wider school grounds and nature area as part of a curriculum which embraces our local environment. Every child is valued as an individual and supported to achieve at the highest level. This is achieved through the small setting and a well developed key worker system as well as by providing children with purposeful play activities that are tailored to the individual needs of the children in the setting from the youngest 2 year olds to those preparing for their transition into the school. The preschool is open every day of the week. Children have access to the wrap around before and after school provision, Georgeham Jumpers, if required. The preschool is pleased to offer 30 hours free childcare to children aged 3 and above who meet the criteria. To find out more call: 01271 890 440.
