Today was a very exciting day at school. Simon set up his fantastic Space Odyssey Dome in Georgeham Chapel and the whole school went on their very own Space mission during the day. We found out what it would like to be an astronaut and we decided that eating, drinking and even going to the toilet would be very tricky without gravity!
We also looked at stars shooting across the sky, a meteor crashing into the moon and had a chance to do some star gazing. What a fantastic opportunity for everyone! Some of the comments coming out of the dome included; fantastic, brilliant, amazing and someone even said it was an experience they would never forget.
We might have inspired the next Neil Armstrong or Yuri Gagarin….who knows!
Looks brilliant. Am well jel.
Yes, it really was amazing Paul. The faces of the children were a picture when the planets suddenly appeared over their heads!
It was EPIC!! and it even looked 3D
