Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 16 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Are you passionate about creating and maintaining safe, welcoming environments where children can thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Caretaker to work at Georgeham C of E Primary School starting in December 2024.

As a Caretaker, you will be at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.

We are looking for an individual with:

• Excellent communication skills
• A competent level of IT skills
• A high level of competency in maintenance
• A good knowledge of Health & Safety · Professional, confidential, well-organised, innovative and flexible
• Places the child firmly at the centre of everything they do

The successful candidate will:

• Maintain the school buildings and grounds
• Undertake routine building and general site maintenance tasks, internal and externally, as and when required
• Work alongside the lead administrator and Headteacher to make alterations, repairs and improvements
• Be the first point of contact for contractors following the contractors on site

Ventrus Policy and safeguarding:

• Complete Health and Safety and compliance checks on time and recorded following policy and procedures in place
• Manage the security of the school site
• Support the cleaning staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
• Other duties as set out in the job description

This is a permanent position working 16 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
