Class 3 had their first proper handwriting session today. Properly, fully cursive with lead-ins and joins too.  The class liked it so much they asked for sheets to take home!  I just love it when children ask for homework!

There’s a big variation of pencil grip in our school, and this is something that we’ll need to focus in on.  Proper pencil grip is paramount for a neat and comfortable handwriting style.  Have a look at this diagram below… and have a close look at your child’s – how’d they do?
