I emailed some joining instructions on the 7.2.2022 (4pm) for tomorrow’s Online Safety session.
I hope you’ve received these instructions and are able to join us tomorrow. It starts at 8pm, but The 2 Johns suggested you logged in from 7.45pm to ensure you had entry. I have heard, it should last until 9.30pm, so do please make sure you have a cuppa or glass, are sitting comfortably and don’t have children around.
I find “The 2 Johns” to be a brilliant resource for keeping up-to-date with e-safety and I’m really happy to share that our Braunton Learning Cooperative Trust has booked them for an evening slot speaking to all the parents in our large community.
Do join in and listen to them give us all some interesting and eye-opening content, as well as share some excellent support and advice.
(No children over your shoulder – very important)

Do you know that Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite are not as safe as you might think? Do you know by restricting the ‘chat’ in games, this does not stop your child talking to other people?
-
Do you know that Essex Police have worked on cases of paedophiles grooming groups of children on these games?
-
Do you know how gang culture and radicalisation online affects your child?
Your child is growing up within and into this digital age.
Do you know how to keep your child safe and show them the wonders of our digital world?
‘The 2 Johns’ will open your eyes to a world we, as adults, didn’t grow up in.
