Some highlights from this week;

  • Reception have been learning the sounds; j, v, w, x and a new tricky word ‘is’.
    Pre-School have been playing lots of rhyming games and also enjoyed the dough disco session this morning! They’ve also been working hard on their pencil grip.
  • We’ve started learning the story ‘Aliens Love Underpants’, we’re using actions to help us re tell this story.
  • The last couple of days have been quite frosty…this has made for some beautiful mornings in Forest School!
  • Reception children have been talking about different ways to make the number 5 using ‘die frames’ to help us. Pre School have been investigating the number 2!
  • We’ve really enjoyed listening to Chris Hadfield singing in the International Space Station…he does a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ or as we like to call it…’Ground Control to Major Tom…sitting in a tin can!’
