Christmas Jumper Day raised £67.30 for Save the Children – thanks everyone.
10am Saturday – Mr T and the Shaddicks are putting up some Christmas lights outside school. If you’ve 10 minutes free time, could you help?
The KS1 panto and KS2 panto are both going ahead next week. Tickets have been issued to a very organised seating plan – please do not arrive without a ticket. Please also look at the details about Covid-19 mitigations and requests at the bottom of the ticket.
Yes, please, we need Class 3 and 4 children to return for the evening performance at 5.45pm. We will bring the children out to the rear car park at 7.10pm for collection. Thanks for your help with this!
Sunday 5.30pm is the Christingle at St.George’s… come along! Everyone’s welcome!
Jo would appreciate outstanding money owed for Christmas cards, dinners, afterschool club and pre school fees be settled in full for the end of term please.
Swimming consent forms need to be returned by the end of term please. This give us enough time to group your children into abilities for before the start of term in January.
So that the whole of the school is aware, we issued another batch of Warn and Inform letters this week. The DfE ask us to do this to class contacts of a positive case.
Attendance so far…
Class 4 97.22% … Class 3 96.39%… Class 2 96.77% … Class 1 92.78%
School average 95.79%
The school and Government’s target is 96.5% but this week we increased our way back towards the target – well done, and thank you!
Covid-Friendly Christmas…
> Thanks to everyone who came to FROGS’ Christmas Market! (I’m currently listening to Wham’s song!)
> Christingle, at St.George’s, 5.30pm on 12th December.
> Christmas school dinner… that’ll be at lunchtime, on Wednesday 15th December.
> Christmas Shows – Cinderella and Rockerfella in KS2 and also KS1’s Hey Ewe! – week beginning 13th December.
We will be recording these and sharing the link so everyone can see it, as we’ll have limited seating available and can only offer one seat per family.
We’re still being cautious regarding Covid-19 in the area. Please keep an eye out for the three main symptoms (temperature, new cough, lack of taste) and book a PCR test if they come about. Devon’s Risk Assessment and the guidance from DfE says that
-
positive cases should isolate
-
people with symptoms should go for a PCR
-
contacts should also go for a PCR.
