We had a fantastic day yesterday! In the morning we harvested our potatoes, we then took them down to Keri who roasted them for us. They were so yummy, it was lovely to be able to eat the potatoes that we had grown ourselves! Next, we went up to the Nature Area for some forest school activities. We started off [...]
Reminder! Please could all class 1 children arrive with a bag of spare clothes tomorrow (wellies/trainees too). Thank you!
(Photo gallery at the bottom.) I still can't quite believe that Blue Peter came to the school yesterday! It all started a few years ago when the school became a 'Beach Rep' for the Surfers Against Sewage - the first and only School Rep with our School Council / Eco Council being the representatives. Essex Dance Theatre (exactly what it says on the tin) tours down this way every year to show what they've been up to and run a workshop. After a delayed start, we arrived to see several of their dances. We then had a go ourselves and were put through our paces by the dancers! Yes, we adults also [...]
Today was our mini sports' day... called Sports Challenge Day. Based on Athletic Union standards, distances and timings, Yr2 and older children challenged their personal results to try to beat or improve upon them. A great day! Remember sun cream and water for Thursday please.
Last week we started designing minibeasts! We chose which minibeast we would like to create and made a plan. We labelled the different materials we were going to use and how we were going to put it together. We then used different pieces of junk modelling to create our chosen minibeast!
