Weather presenters!
staff2018-12-03T15:54:07+00:00In Science we have been learning about the four different seasons. Today, we started looking at the weather. We talked about the different types of weather and the clothes we might wear because of it! We watched a short clip of today's weather forecast and talked about why we might need to know in advance. 'If you were having a [...]
Uh oh – Sammy!!
staff2018-11-30T20:25:11+00:00After a busy afternoon rehearsing in the village hall and getting back just in time for assembly...we forgot to give out Sammy! There was a bit of panic on the playground as we remembered 'I hope he isn't lonely!!' ☹️ No panic! He's warming up by the fire (with a new friend) followed by a well needed wash!! 😃 [...]
Total communication 🗣️ ✋
staff2022-08-18T13:27:12+01:00We would all like to say a massive THANK YOU (yep....we can now sign ''thank you') to Emma Turner who has come in to all the classes across the school to give the children a real insight into being unable to hear. She taught us all some amazing sign language through games and activities, including signing to some of the [...]
Teachers Rock and Youth Choir…
Julian Thomas2018-11-28T21:39:11+00:00Teachers Rock started just over five years ago and I only went along to the first rehearsal due to an evening meeting being cancelled. I had already emailed about the excellent choice of songs they were going to do and I found myself being 'encouraged' to do a solo in Reef's 'Place Your Hands' as a result! Devon's Music Advisor, [...]
Gliddon and Squire Cross Country @ West Buckland
Julian Thomas2022-08-18T13:27:12+01:00Georgeham colours were out in full force at this weekend's Gliddon and Squire Cross Country meet. It's amazing to see the team grow larger at each event - clearly word is spreading about how much 'fun' it is to run around a muddy field on a Sunday morning (for kids) and eat bacon sandwiches (for parents). Elsie L and Myah [...]
Braunton’s Year 3/4 XC Running Competition
Julian Thomas2022-08-18T13:27:12+01:00What a wet day for a running event... but it's 'across' country and not dry-tarmac running so we were (kind-of) prepared for a muddy and wet course. It was actually quite reminiscent to the cross country running I used to do as a kid - long, cold, muddy and wet - and I wasn't the only person that thought this! [...]
Blue Ocean Spikers’ first volleyball competition…
Julian Thomas2018-11-25T09:08:42+00:00Georgeham's volleyball team smashed it at their first volleyball competition on Saturday, with the Blue Ocean Dolphins placed first in their age group and the Blue Ocean Sharks placing second! Well done guys! Both teams played brilliantly stealing points from the other teams and even beating a team of 11 year olds (twice!). Well done everyone!
Yazzy is in the building!
Julian Thomas2022-08-18T13:27:12+01:00It's a right sing-along! They're loving it! Don't forget, CDs and Tees in sale in the playground later!
