2022-08-18T13:27:29+01:00

Of course I wasn't going to blog about this before I went for it!  (Yes, therefore you should be able to work out the outcome!) A long drive down to Exeter this morning for my school minibus test. The first bit was a drive around the Westpoint Arena - the Devon County show and The Mix music festival are held [...]

Guitar club-what talented musicians!

2014-04-03T21:48:17+01:00

Gary's guitar group came into class today to share some of the music they have been learning this year. Every member of the group played a solo piece and received a massive round of applause from the audience. Here is a small selection of the music that was played to us today. http://youtu.be/8fXxGdZc3m4&rel=0 http://youtu.be/VYdxenTf6wE&rel=0 Well done everyone!

Even ties…

2022-08-18T13:27:29+01:00

We even teach children how to tie a tie. Yes I know, one's too long and one's too short. Even funnier, is that the tie on the right (the 'just right' one) was done himself - Dad taught him!

FROGS funding coming to GREAT use...! They've only had one cup of tea (and were very grateful of a school dinner "Lovely!" one said) but the lads on our field have been working hard through the day and the volleyball court is really starting to take shape. Looking forward to seeing the children enjoy it. Some more photos for [...]

Easter Explored…

2014-04-01T14:54:31+01:00

We had a very interesting morning spent at Christchurch in Braunton.  Lots of organisation involved in getting children to and from Braunton (roadworks, resurfacing and lots of tourists too it seemed!) but what a morning! The church hall was transformed into separate areas each depicting a different stage in Jesus' life.  The children were able to hear stories, listen to [...]

Volleyball lessons at school…

2022-08-18T13:27:29+01:00

Denise Austin has been supporting our school for a long time now with her daughter Ellie attending our school until only a couple of years ago.  Denise has been coaching for over 20 years and has some high ranking players under her belt - Olympians too - all learning from her using the Croyde courts that she's had installed. Classes [...]

Our last Science Club for this year- a bit of a mixture!

2014-03-28T21:38:24+00:00

We knew that coca cola could clean a dirty 2p coin but we wanted to investigate why this happened and to find out which other liquids could be used to clean things. We used some universal indicator paper and found that coke was high in acid which meant it could clear off the grime. We also tested milk, toothpaste, water, [...]
