Sean’s Day…

2014-06-06T08:13:41+01:00

It's another Sean's Day! Thanks very much for bringing in any donations for Challenge Ministry Swaziland.  Some of you have brought in some cash (we'll let you know how much as soon as we've counted it up) and some of you have brought in specific items for the box in our hallway.  Mrs Mortimer has recently requested that we consider [...]

Ahoy there!

2022-08-18T13:27:28+01:00

In class 3  all of our learning has been based around the theme of 'PIRATES' today. We have made pirate hats (which some children have managed to wear all day), written pirate limericks and created treasure maps to help us to learn about co-ordinates. Here is a flavour of what we've been up to today.....   We had [...]

Poo Paragraphs…

2014-06-04T09:29:16+01:00

Year 5 have tried hard to write a single paragraph for their information leaflet about dog poo. Dog poo is a huge problem.  It's a problem because dog owners, in general, allow their dogs to poo in our community and they don't pick it up or dispose of it properly.  It ends up being everywhere! Not disposing it in an [...]

Habitats questions…

2022-08-18T13:27:28+01:00

Is a fish a pescatarian? Liza owns a shark (I know!) but do fish choose not to eat meat and only allow fish for lunch?!  Photo Credit: erika k via Compfight Is there a bird that lives in the same nest as another bird? Noah knows this one... "So, um, (hahahahahaha) so we have a tree near our friend's house and all of [...]

School photos…

2022-08-18T13:27:28+01:00

Lots of beautifying, hair brushing, collar straightening - you won't believe how seriously some of our children take this - quite funny indeed!  Equally some of the comments from those who just can't be bothered (their words) about doing themselves up! "She called me 'trouble,'" said one boy. "Oh no, I had to hug my sister,"  was one of the [...]

Lundy..should I go?

2022-08-18T13:27:28+01:00

So...why is Lundy such a great place to visit? I've never been to Lundy so I set Year 5 the challenge of trying to persuade me. I wonder what they will come up with?

Year 5 on Lundy…

2014-05-22T21:35:09+01:00

We'll have to caption the photos and write something here... but I thought you'd like to see them with the children before they leave for school tomorrow morning! (You're welcome... they were a lovely bunch.) Night, Mr T. Blog update-  Year 5 rushed into class 4 today full of stories about their adventures on Lundy, it sounds like all the [...]

Monday in Class 3…

2014-05-19T10:11:35+01:00

In assembly, we remembered how to show someone we were proud of them or that they had done well by smiling, clapping, patting them on the back or cheering.  Lottie even said it made her feel proud of them. In spellings... "There's a monster behind you!" = "THERE IS a monster behind you..." (We're looking at the apostrophe that's used [...]

Getting ready for Lundy…

2022-08-18T13:27:28+01:00

We've very nearly everything boxed up and ready for loading on the ferry on Tuesday morning.  Met James this afternoon and he was looking forward to it too... Wonder how excited the kids will be tomorrow? Crossing my fingers that the weather is slightly cooler than the weekend but certainly drier than what the Met Office is forecasting!  [...]

Class 4 visit Ilfracombe

2014-05-16T21:19:21+01:00

Class 4 visited Ilfracombe today to compare the coastline of Ilfracombe with the coastlines of Saunton and Croyde as part of our ‘coasts’ topic. We had a lovely sunny day that was packed with activities. We visited the Ilfracombe Aquarium, the Ilfracombe Lifeboat Station and tunnels beaches. We even managed to squeeze in a bit of sketching and an ice [...]
