It was a sad but very proud afternoon today as we said good-bye to our amazing year 6 at the leavers’ assembly.
The cohort of 2014 are a very talented, lively bunch who are going to leave a big hole here at Georgeham. As Mr Thomas said, they may be leaving but they will always be remembered – or as many of the year 6s said, it’s going to be really quiet here next year!
Each of these 19 children is special and it was great to have an opportunity to celebrate their many successes, to reflect on how much they have grown from reception (with some very cute pictures thanks to Mrs Holborne) and to wish them luck for their futures. It was also interesting to learn about some of the things they they have been up to while they were here (popcorn munching, fire alarms, pudding stealing etc) and relive fond memories from the last few years.
Well done year 6 we are so proud of each of you – have fun at Braunton, take care of each other, ย work hard and come back and visit us often (so you can marvel at how small the desks and chairs are in class 4).
A big thanks to Mrs Patterson for helping them showcase their amazing singing, a great end to a great year 6 ๐
Have a lovely summer!
Celebrating friendships, successes and effort.
A great assembly and we will miss you all. It will indeed be quiet without you in class 4. Good luck! Have a great summer everyone! ๐
It was so lovely to hear all your memories – some were extremely interesting!! You did yourself proud on the final song and yes, ‘I’m sure gonna miss you when you’ve gone!’ You are all future stars and I wish you every success at Braunton! Have a fab summer!
