It’s St George’s Day… and since I was asked this morning by a bright lad if the flag was up on the roof, I chose him to be the one to come up on to the roof and help me fix it up, as I do with one of the children every year.
Apparently only one in five people know the date of St George’s day (it’s today) and so we spoke a little about him in assembly this morning.
We also heard a story about two boys called Max and Jordan who needed to be kind and considerate to each other – this was part of our Social, Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) theme this half term, which is focused on relationships. Hopefully none of our children feel the need to slay any dragons / children but that they do come and talk to their friends or the staff about their worries, so we can help to find a solution together.
I love that you send these little bits of info out, it makes me feel part of their day, which is particularly good on the first day away from them in several weeks. thank you.
