I’m sitting in the Queen’s Theatre (managed to get the wifi code) with the laptop on my lap… sorry about any quick spelling errors; horrible keyboard.
At the moment Ilfracombe Rocks are practising ‘Johnny Had Gone For a Soldier’ … oh my goodness me, they are excellent!
We had our moment on the stage a few minutes ago and they did so well, you’d be proud. I wonder how many parents will be coming tonight.
So, the program…
The National Anthem
Ilfracombe Rocks Lee Club – Oh What a Lovely Day
Daisy Bell
Rule Britannia
The Marching Men Go By – Paul Painter’s own song (beautiful) by everyone, including Barnstaple Learning Community’s mixed ensemble.
Chulmleigh Bells – Knees up Mother Brown, Onward Christian Soldiers
Keep The Home fires Burning.
Abide With Me – Georgeham, Southmead and Braunton Academy
Chulmleigh Learning Community – Silent Night / Stille Nacht
Pipes of Peace,
with Devon Teachers Rock Choir, and also All Together Now
South Molton Junior’s – ‘How We Used To Live’
Barnstaple LC’s Letters of Love.- real letters back home too – quite poignant.
The Last Post…
A 2-minute silence…
Rule Britannia… and
Land Of Hope And Glory.
Hoping to put some photos, video or audio on here too but there’s no way I can do that as a preview before tonight!
I know you’ll enjoy it if you’re coming!
