Would any children in Class 4 be interested in learning how to knit? Or perhaps you can already knit and could help pass your skills on to a friend? With Mr T’s permission, I thought about doing a lunchtime knitting club – say on a Tuesday from 12.45 to 1.15.
A scarf is always a popular first project, but how about a woolly hat or even a simple jumper for a small child? You could ask your Mum (or Granny) for oddments of wool, knitting needles and even simple patterns and we can see how we get on. Free patterns can be downloaded from the internet and remember, the thicker the wool and the larger the needles, the quicker your project will grow!
What do you think?
Mrs Herbert
I can see brill beanie hats being made!
I’ve been meaning to make G a scarf… perhaps she could make me one?
I hope to start tomorrow lunchtime if G wishes to join in. I will have some wool and needles, but if anyone has any wool oddments and large needles, that would be great.
I have some knitting needles, I will bring them in
BRILL, Kay will be happy!
that sounds great
