Class 2 (KS1)
Welcome to our class! In Class 2 we teach children in Years 1 and Years 2 and follow what is known as Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum. We continue to build on the phonics learned in Class 1. We also use many different reading schemes to develop our reading skills – focusing on comprehension and understanding of our books, whilst continuing to develop fluency and expression.
